I have a 64 F-85 Vista Cruiser and I am having no luck finding a rear bumper. Both this and the 64 F-85 coupe are rare enough that I have never seen them together. By looking at photos, the rear bumpers look like they would interchange or be close enough to modify. My bumper has good corners but the center section is quite destroyed by the addition of a home made trailer hitch some decades ago. Does anyone know if these will interchange, or know exactly what the differences are?

I am not positive, but I believe that you can put f-85 on the wagon but not the other way around because of fuel neck location

Might look for a 64-5 Buick Special sw or sport Wagon.........same bumper as the 64-5 Olds A body wagons.

ding ding ding! Give that man a prize! He is right....if you weren't so far away, I'd sell you a rechrome I have. Driver quality at best....

Depending how they welded the hitch on it might be worth while to check in to a chrome / bumper restorer to see how much to fix the one you have.
these are hard to come by in good condition , by time you buy a core ship it and rechrome it , you might be money ahead in fixing yours

Ogden chrome does good work located in Utah I believe they even have you ship it to them and they ship it back .
If you need a core I have one 50 bucks dents chrome flaking but brackets and. Revers light housings are there .

Thamks for the info! @oldstata, I should add that they bolted the hitch to the bumper, and looks like they tried to tow a tank, then backed up into it a few times...

Here is a link to my parts thread there are some pics of the bumper take a look and let me know and if interest I can take more pics this week end and get a rough shipping quote I would suggest to take brackets off unless you didn't need them to cut weight
