56 olds turn lever problem, need help

56 olds turn lever problem, need help

Hi, i have a 56 olds w/auto trans - i removed the turn signal switch that is mounted on the lower part of the steering column to do some work under the dash, and now that i put it back on, it doesn't work. I think I may have broken off a tab or lever that pushes the button on the back of the turn signal switch - otherwise I don't see what would shift the switch when turning the signal on left or right. I've attached a picture of the switch - the button on the back is what i'm talking about and don't know what is supposed to move this?

Does anyone have a picture of the steering column? Or a picture of the turn lever with the rod that goes down through the steering column to the turn signal switch?

Any help is appreciated!
