330-425 valve cover baffles

I’m trying to stuff Harland Sharp 5016 roller rockers under my stock 400 valve covers. The baffle that runs from the end to the center hits big time. If I cut everything out but the center part of the baffle it will clear with 2 gaskets. I saw where 330 and 425s don’t have the end baffle. Could someone please post a picture of the bottom of one of these so if I can see if they will work? Thanks, Frank

Hey Jim, could you please get me a picture of the rest of the valve cover? It looks like he modified the center of the baffle on the other side. I would like to see what he did. Thanks much, Frank

Hi,

He's already got the valve covers installed, with 2 gaskets, he mentioned something about baffled grommets

sorry I couldn't be more helpful, maybe give Mark a call or pm and he can tell you all that needs to be done

Pop four holes in the baffle for the tall adjuster nuts to poke through. I may have used a 3/4" hole saw. Solvent-and-compressed-air to remove the drill swarf.

I had to cut the whole baffle out and bend the center narrower. The rockers smacked into everything and will touch the wall of the cover at full lift if I don’t use two gaskets. I know the covers weren’t designed for this but I am trying to keep it stock looking. I kind of figured this would happen so I tested it.
