1963 Olds 98 Transmission Fluid

Hello everyone!

I just bought my my 1st Oldsmobile(1963 Olds 98)
I am very new to the restoring process and could use some help with figuing out what type of tranmission fluid my 98 uses(Mercon,Dexron, Type F????)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use Dexron. It originally used Type A fluid, but that's not widely available now, and Dexron will work fine. You'll get used to a Slim Jim's quirks pretty quick.

Looks like a fairly solid Luxury Sedan.

I'm glad you approve csstrux! I picked her up at an estate auction in Delta Colorado for $600. She is a complete car and just needs some TLC. And a of course a paint job and upholsotry.
