Why is this part so hard to find?
Ok I'm looking for a blower motor resistor for the 71. But is seems no one has this part? In my searches if I found one it was for a non a/c car but mine is an a/c car. So can you guys help me out?

I did not read the other posts but check for a buick olds pontiac swap meet by you or bopc swap meet. I had the same problem with that part and they are a real pain in the but to find anywhere but i did find one at a bopc swap meet in the chicago suburbs. I found a oem one there and reasonable they are cool people to deal with and they are enthusiasts to boot.

It's just a few resistors. You'd think it wouldn't be too hard to find something equivalent and rig it together to fix the old one. I do understand the desire to have something that was made to do that job in the first place though.

If the resistor mounted on the housing is what you are after:
we have new ones in stock.

While the 1965-1970 resistor looks quite similar, the positioning of the connectors are different between it and the 1971-1972 resistor. The factory books definitely specify different part numbers (like our listings) for the 65-70 and 71-72. Perhaps you have a very late 1970 production.
