Wheel cover inquiry

Wheel cover inquiry
I have a set of 1953 GM wire wheel covers on my Olds. I am trying to find out where I might purchase what's called a "steel mount piece(bucket)". The wheel cover comes in three pieces: small center cap, outer trim ring and the steel mount piece. Only need the steel mount piece and only need one of those.
Thank you!

Yes! There's a picture of the wheel cover at www.classiccarstodayonline.com 1953 General Moters wire wheel cover.

Have no idea where you might find one,but they were very unique wheel covers, letting the wheel color show both through the wheel cover and around the edge of the wheel.I think they may have been standard on the Fiesta convertibles in '53. Best of luck ,Larry

jmills, there's a '53 Buick Skylark wire cover listed on EBay for sale that I think everything except the center would be the same.be sure it has the mounting piece that you need. Larry.
P.S. He wants $75 for it ,and it seems to have the mounting part (it shows 5 pictures) and if it is the same as OLDSMOBILE one other than the center, that would give you an extra wire part. Best of luck,Larry

The 53 Fiesta actually came with a 3 bar spinner that was known as the Fiesta Spinner. They were an option on the 54 and 55 models. I have them on my 54. They were very popular with customizers and thieves. In 1956 they went to the Starfire spinner which was also very popular with customizers. If I did this correctly, there is a picture of one attached.
