What is this "night watch" switch on my 1973 ninety eight????
I have a factory switch on the dash by the headlight switch that says "night Watch". I have turnred it on and off but cant seem to figure out what it does. I would imagine it has something top do with the lights but have no clue. If anyone knows please let me know.

I don't really know but my guess is it is something like a headlight delay, where the headlights will stay on for a minute or two after the car is turned off kinda like you see in newer cars. But this is just my guess. im sure someone else will know for sure.

Headlight off delay as said.
No owner's manual in the glove?
I think it works off an oil pressure switch and as the pressure drops after shut down it switches off the lights. I have no idea how long they take to go off.

turn switch on after the steering column lock and headlight switch have been turned to the off position and the key removed, the cars driving lights will be placed in an off-delayed position remaining on for 45 to 90 seconds.info from drivers manuel.

X2 on this. If you don't have an owner's manual to go with your 98, then get on ebay and get one. They're all over the place and usually only a few dollars.
I didn't have one for my '73 Custom Cruiser, and for $8 plus shipping, I got a beautiful, complete set of '73 Olds glovebox literature, including the plastic case it would have come in. In my case, the literature I received had the VIN of the car it originally came in, and it was a 98. Would have been perfect for your car (but you can't have it! )
