what car did my motor originally come from

Exclamation what car did my motor originally come from

trying to find out exactly wat car my motor came out of
vin #358695C133014
casting #395558
intake #411990
head (8) # 411929
metallic blue engine which suggest its somewhere between a 75 - 76
i cant see the derivative # because there's a plate blocking it or isn't there at all (i've tried lookin numerouse times)
its currently in a 1965 delta 88 celebrity sedan

395558= 68-70 350
#8 heads are smoggers off a 73-76 SBO
Not sure about the the vin. Where did you get that #? Not off the pad. The pad should contain 9 characters and the first two should be numbers then a letter. The last 6 are the vin off the car it originally came from. Get a mirror out and read it from under the car if the power steering brackets in the way which it usually is.

And it is in the way...damn ..and thats the vin off of my car.....looks like i have to get dirtier then i was hoping....

So it's a 1975 350, as we thought ('73 to '76).

3= olds
5= 1975
R= Arlington TX
the rest is original car's sequential production number.
Also the 395558 is an ID code 5 block which would indicate 73-74 350 SBO. (The code 2 395558 is a 68-70 350SMO)

Your engine most likely was out of a 75 model year cutlass or Delta 88 as Arlington made both

Nope. None at all.

It's a 350 from a '75 Olds. That's the best you're gonna be able to do.
