W31 shifter
#4
The bolt-in shifter handle and handle receiver make me think it's a non-factory Hurst shifter. The factory shifters used a push-in handle with no bolts. Shifter rods appear to be non-factory as well with their finish and the "etched" numbers printed on them.
Then again, maybe someone modded the original shifter and added the "bolt in" handle hardware.
The linkage hardware (clips, bushings, etc) don't look like original factory stuff either....probably an over-the-counter kit of those items. Shifter handle itself is not a console-equipped style handle. Is the car a non-console setup?

And while this does appear to be an aftermarket shifter, just an FYI: there's no such thing as a "W-31" shifter. All 1970-72 Oldsmobiles with four speed used the same shifter. The only difference was console vs. non-console handle.
