synthetic oil intermixed with regular oil

I need to know if synthetic oil is intermixed with conventional oil what happens, bad good or nothing..

I have switched to synthetic some time ago and almost got caught on a road trip needing to add more than a quart and found that I only had conventional oil in the trunk.I made it fine to the next town some 50 miles away but what would of happened if I would of had to intermix just to get out of a bind?.....Tedd

It's not a problem at all. That's what Castrol Syntec Blend and those other mixes are, 50/50 mix of dino oil and synthetic.
