Simplifying Life... sort of
Several years ago I drug home a 1967 Cutlass Convertible project car. It's just sat and would have for many years to come. I've advertized it a few times and even considered parting it out. But over the weekend I traded it for a rebuilt 1968 muncie 4 speed transmission. Kinda hard to see it go out the driveway, but it went to a good home as the new owner will restore it for his wife to drive. John

looks like the guy has a cool toy hauler- look slike a mid 50s cab on a 2 ton flatbed chassis? I'd like to see another pic of that!
Sucks to have to make the choice to move a project down the road, but nice to know its going to someone whos going to do what you wanted to.
I recently caught a glimpse of my last car on a local cable tv show showing a carshow. Was very nice to see it, and the guy and his wife who had bought it Showing it off.

Bluevista, I think bigfoot is using the trunk on a yellow 1967 Cutlass hardtop... anybodyneedaproject???
Ben, yes it's about a 1955-56 Chebby but I believe the cab is a little larger than a pickup, so I think its factory with an upgraded drivetrain and bed.
Rob... I agree with you and Ben, I like his tow vehicle too! The guy is retired (sorta) and does boy/paint work on 1960's to early 70's vintage cars. The first time I met him he was driving a 1970 Chevelle wagon... 2 door wagon that he created!
Pat, your right. I've been collecting project cars and parts for years but not taken the time or money to finish one since my Ferd Grabber Blue 1971 Supreme back in the late 1980's. I have made some progress though. Right now I have a 1965 400 engine at the machine shop for my 1965 442. I also have the machine work done on the correct block for my 1970 442. I just need to clean part of the garage and "make" a clean room to assemble it. After seeing Richards plans for his shed I'm thinking about building a carport in front of the garage with boxed steel. What's kept me from that in the past is the wide span I'd want to reduce the risk of clipping a wood support while parking the car. With steel I can put fewer in and if I use the translucent corrugated roofing I'll still get good light. With the light snowfall here I think that would work well and I could stop buying big plastic tarps every winter!!! Oh yeah, then I can start thinking about body and paint work and fix all those leaking windshields. Reviewing the build threads here has encouraged me to try it myself. OK, I've got all that in my head, I just need to implement the daydreams!!!

You'll get there John. Most of us know that the hunt and collecting of Oldsmobile parts and cars is a big part of the fun for you and we all appreciate your collection and you willingness to sell us parts at a very fair price. We all need guys like you otherwise finding the right part would be that much more difficult. So keep collecting and we'll keep bugging you to get a car done
