Proper Thermostat Housing 1969 400-455ci motor

Proper Thermostat Housing 1969 400-455ci motor

Just wondering what a correct thermostat housing would look like on a 1969 400 or 455 ci motor. I've got a 350 with a housing that looks like it has a curved neck like the image below. Just wondering if that is correct for a 1969 big block...not so sure it's even correct for my 350 with A/C. Thanks.

No, in '69 they had a short nipple on them and used a "J" hose. Like this only not chrome:
