Mpg on 66 f85 330 lc 2 barrel-fuel economy

Does anyone know what the fuel economy is approx on my 1966 F85 330 Low Comp 2 barrel motor. Car and motor are completely original with 72000 miles. I understand that the economy maybe worse today with the miles on the car and the new E10 gas, I am curius as to what this car may have done back in 66. Thanks. My guess is 14-15mpg average.

I recall when driving my '66 F-85 Deluxe 4dr hardtop from Texas to California in 1993, I was getting 16 mpg. Car was a 35k mile original, even had the Packard spark plug wires still on it. Used the a/c a few times as well. This pic was taken in Tx right after I got it from the original owner in 1991. Esther.jpg

Not sure of the 330 2 barrel, but GM actually started putting 4 barrel Q-Jets on everything, to bump fuel economy up. Seems the the small primaries on these, actually do better than two barrels. Not sure if you're familiar with Q-Jets, but when set up right, by far the best street carb ever made. Holleys, Carters, forget em' as their little dots in the rear view. Your set up sound's pretty mild, but you can really get 330's to run. If looking for better milage, maybe consider going to a Q-Jet and dual exhaust.
