Yep Joe, I read those articles and more before I posted. I like the Hemmings article that states the car had a warmed over W-31 350 engine but other articles state the car had a 410 racing engine. Is the car in a museum now ? According to the articles the car was a “pre-production” 442. Was the car a real W-30 or a stock 442 ? Was just the body of the car delivered ? Did Oldsmobile approve of Hurst tearing apart a “pre-production” W-30/442 to build a Baja racer ? There are some very knowledgeable people on this forum - I was looking for someone who might be able to share some first hand facts of the car. A lot of information on the internet is diluted/polluted.
