Help!!!!! I'm lost!!! Dis has fire but wires have no spark!!

I don't know what's going on, I don't get a spark when I put a screwdriver in the plug wire!!!! Tested the dis and it has power!!!! I don't understand????

Need more info. How did you test the distributor???

Type of distributor (HEI or Standard)
Type of coil.

The more info you give the faster you will get an answer.

I got it now, I had the yellow wire from my carb tied in which was wrong!!!!
Now I need to know where the yellow wire for the electronic choke????? It won't stay running and I'm guessing that's why!!!!
