help

I'm new to website I have a 70 cutlass and wonder jf anyone out there can tell me what size bolts I need to buy to pull my engine out from the heads the whole front clip is tore down do its gonna b easy but need to no wat bolts to use and any refereces to where to get a reasonable conversion kit for front end

Don't know what you mean by conversion kit, brakes?

The bolt you need is a 3/8"-16, length to fit whatever chain or hook you're using.

Thanks I got the bolts. Sorry I mean a reasonable place to get a complete disk brake conversion kit.

They are all over EBay starting under $500.00. Be aware however, that most will require 15" wheels due to aftermarket items in the kit.

Thanks ill take a look asap. 15" is perfect I have a set of chrome rallys that are 15s. Any chance you can tell me what size bolts I need to put the engine on the stand from the block?

I don't recall the size off hand, but make sure they are Grade 8 bolts, and not some cheap ones, or you run the risk of them breaking and the engine falling and smashing a foot ot a leg. You can get Grade 8 at any decent Auto Parts store...I have used NAPA.

Good lord son! Try a bolt in the back of the engine until you find the right size, then take it with you...when you get the bolts, buy a bolt size chart so you can start figuring this out for yourself lol!

Ok, I'll cut you some slack...you need the same size as the other one I told you about; 3/8-16 by however long you need.

Thanks fir the slack pilot I appreciate it. Its my first project so just tryin to get as much info as I need but ill cut back on the crazy qjestions and find out. Ur knoledge is being used tho so thanks
