68 Cutlass Read Quarter Window Weatherstrip

I removed the rear quarter windows, regulators and motors on my 68 Cutlass S convertible to clean and rebuild.

Re-Attaching the Rear Quarter Window Vertical weatherstrip channel to the window. What is the correct adhesive to use??
I have cleaned the channel well and will clean the window with acetone before attaching.

They don't use adhesive, they use a kind of rubber mounting "tape". It doesn't have any adhesive on it, it's a friction fit. You wrap it around the front of the glass & carefully tap the chrome molding onto the glass, trim the excess with a razor blade, then slide the verticle weather strip in place. If you have a good glass shop in your area they should have some, There's 2 thicknesses of the tape, our cars take the thinner of the 2 I believe. I had my local glass shop do mine, it cost me $5. Parts place does sell some pre-molded pieces for $8 a pair. They're in the "exterior moldings, mirrors & door handles" section.
