65-67 BBo Exhaust Manifolds

65-67 BBo Exhaust Manifolds
I picked up a set of exhaust manifolds from Desert Valley Auto Parts here in Arizona. I checked the casting numbers against the ones listed below and they match, however they do not seem to have the X and/or W on them. They don't have a bunch of dirt on them, so I would be surprised if the letters are buried.... Without the W & X - what do I have? Did all of the manifolds have the letters?
I don't have pictures ready to be uploaded - but its bugging me
'65 - '67 X 389269 LH; Cutlass, 442.
W 389268 RH; Cutlass, 442.

The other manifold is missing the letter as well. I assumed the casting numbers meant they were the real deal...
They came out of a 65 442 that was in a wrecking yard out here. Is it possible that they made these for the 65 cars without the letters? Any info (good or bad) would be greatly appreciated.
