442 in movies

I was pretty annoyed at how they treated this Olds, until I noticed the Chevelle stripes on the trunk.

Honorable mention, The Hitcher 2007 features another 70 and the camera makes love to it for a decent amount of time... plus you don't have to wait long to see it. Movie essentially starts with it in view but a warning, very violent movie.

Last but not least, 2007s P2 starring Wes Bentley. G -Body 442 that gets a decent amount of screen time, as well as a full on burnout. But warning again, violent movie.

In both 2007 movies the car belongs to the main character.

In the TV show The Americans, the main characters drive a couple cool Oldsmobiles, including this bad-*** 70 442.They also have a 1978 Delta 88 that's their main car. That show was so cool to me because in basically every scene, you can see an Olds somewhere in the background.

Don't forget Chicago's Stay the Night video from 1984 featuring a 1968 Olds 442 convertible.

Except if you look at 1:21 as he jumps pn the roof, you can see those stripes on the Olds. Plus, once its on its side and on fire, you can see both the Olds tail lights and the front bumper confirming its the same car.
Unfortunately, it was not a Chevelle that took the abuse. So many nice cars get wrecked in Hollywood. Its one thing when accidents happen but to intentionally destroy nice iron should be a crime IMO.

Ironically, A rerun of NCIS aired last night that played an Olds convertible thru-out. Season 17 episode 16. A '70 -'71 I believe.

Saw that one too. A 70 Supreme with 8 track, tilt, buckets, console, sport wheel, clam shell mirrors...

Chicago was a really fun video. The stuntmen took a beating for sure. Never got to see the 442 land after going up the ramps.
