That's a 25.4 inch tall tire so that's no problem and the width is fine also, at least for the rear. You never mentioned what the front size is?
You need to know the back spacing and bolt pattern size of the wheels also.

The bolt pattern is a chevy 5-bolt. What do you mean by back spacing?

back spacing or offset is from the flange of the inside of the hub that bolts onto the car to the edge of the wheel inside. this will tell you have far it goes inward and also how much is outward. These can be issues on some cars. You also need to make sure they clear the front if you have disc brakes. Some wheels did and some did not. I run 14"s on a few of my cars and run either 245/60sr14 or 235/70SR14 Both fit nicely. I also have run 235/60SR15 and liked how they fit too. But I almost always use factory wheels. On my 70 I ran 15 x 7 rally ll with the 245 60s and liked it very much that is allot of tire but it sure handles and drives nice with them on it.

It might be easier this way. Did they come off a Chevelle? If so then you should be gtg.
If they came off a big Chevy like an Impala then the bolt pattern is wrong. It would be 5 bolts with a 5 inch pattern. Commonly referred to as a 5x5 bolt pattern. Your Cutlass uses a 5x4.75 bolt pattern. Cragar also made a uni-lug type wheel that could be 4.5, 4.75 and 5 inches depending on the washer used, a universal lug pattern.
Typically wheels for A bodies require a back spacing that is roughly half the wheel width or 5 inches in your case. If you put a straight edge across the back lip of the wheel and measure to the hub where it bolts to the rear end you can easily tell what your back spacing is.
