1968-9 KA water pump pulley

Was the KA water pump pulley only used on W cars, or was it also used on non W, manual trans cars that may have gotten a heavy duty cooling package? The PIM seems to indicate it was a W car only pulley?

That is what is looks like to me in the PIM as well. I picked one up at a swap meet this summer guessing it was right for my 1970 w-30. Figured out when I got home it was 68-69. if you need one let me know.

Thanks for the offer Pat, but I don’t need one. My 69 already has the KA pulley but no paperwork if it was an original W car. It’s a VIN matching G block and M21 car with an 4 core EC radiator so I was contemplating if that also got the KA pulley.

Sounds like a cool car, I love 4-speed oldsmobiles. If you have one on there that is at least one piece of the puzzle that helps prove it; but by itself does not really prove anything. Lots of parts got swapped around many years ago on these cars. I picked up a 1970 W-30 4-speed this summer and it has a 1969 Hurst Olds starter in it.

I was once one of those kids that did not worry about matching numbers and date codes. Was just interested in making my car faster and beating on it.
