nutral safty switch

Another wiring question, I know...?
What will happen if the neutral safety switch is not used?
One side goes to the Ignition Switch, and the other to the starter. The starter wire is not being used, i have a remote (kill) switch that comes off the pink wire. Does anyone for see any problems with that?

Thanks, Carl - Dallas

Now that I think about it, anyway. I have seen several motor wiring harness with the purple cut when an HEI distributor is installed? Obviously this could be a problem in these cars as well? Mine is entirely removed when I rewired the fuse box.

Other than inadvertantly starting it in gear, no.
