I don't have the info
I have an olds schematic I bought off eBay and a 1970 Buick full service manual. I own a 1971 Cut Supreme that was a 350/350 car. My understanding is that my car did not have an electrical plug on the tranny... the eBay schematic shows that the black and orange wire and the green wire go to the tranny for a v8 car not tranny specific. Mine as the pics show have a green wire that jump back to the flat plug with the resister. Does the round plug go the tranny or not? I don't know where the flat plug goes either.... the flat plug has 14V at the car side of the plug and the resister takes the round plug down to 4v or so. My understanding the tranny switch for the turbo 400 I installed needs 12v. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

The round connector is part of the TCS (transmission controlled spark). The one wire is the for kickdown on a TH400 and the second wire is for the TCS. That would have been on the TH350 and TH400. I am unsure about the manual transmissions.

I took the car apart 5 years ago so I couldn't remember if they were plugged in or not. What is the TCS? I'm guessing the flat plug went to the TCS? Does the TCS regulate any voltage change? Or is the round plug only to have 4v at the transmission?

First, SPEND THE MONEY and BUY an original, correct Chassis Service Manual for your car. Anything else is a waste of time and money.
Second, that wire is built into every Cutlass harness that year. It as used for EVERY trans that year. TCS was an emission control system on every car. The TH400 used both wires. The TH350 and manual trans only used the wire for the TCS - the other was simply not connected to anything.

Just ignore it. It has no useful purpose and will not hurt anything.
And, as Joe said, you've spent thousands on the car, go spend a little bit more to get the manual, so you can tell what you're doing.
In your case, since you're reassembling a car after five years, you really should have a Fisher Body Manual and an Assembly Manual as well.
You can get digital versions of all three if you join the Automotive History Preservation Society for about $25, but you should still buy an original paper copy of the CSM, as the scans are never completely clear.

Located a Rivera kick down switch and pedal. Since I am not running the TCS, can I remove the TCS plug that has the resister? That would put 12v to the trans pressure switch. Currently with the TCS unplugged the trans pressure switch wire has 4v. Does it need to stay 4 or does it need 12?
