Converting my 67 Delta 88 to dual exhaust
OK, yet another one kicking around my noggin..
As mentioned previously, I have the CCC on my car. If I want to run dual exhaust, I undertsand that I will need to change the dvr side manifold to an S type.
What other mods will need to be done to the passenger side due to the CCC?
Thanks for any help

After removing the driver's side manifold and crossover pipe, just cap the exhaust crossover inlet on the passenger side manifold with this:
(The Parts Place #EX2604T)or one like it. No need to touch the CCC setup at all. Then install the LH side of the dual exhaust. The whole RH side can stay the same as it was.

Err, well not really. It will be very unsightly, involved, if trying to run duals without changing the drivers side manifold. The B body is a different animal for duals from 65 to 70.

Yep, very difficult to make that bend under the steering linkage if you retain the center-outlet LH manifold. Very restrictive to flow, too.
I know - I had to do it on my Delmont 330. The S manifold won't fit on a small-block and there is no other LH manifold which will fit a small block in the 65-70 88/98 chassis

If you want to do it on the cheap, I have a "cosmetically challenged" original S manifold that I would sell for 1/2 of what a reproduction goes for. It was rust-pitted and had one bolt ear broken off. I had it blasted, the port side resurfaced and the bolt ear welded, then I painted it with Eastwood stainless steel paint.

Its gotta be good for at least an extra 125 at the wheels!!!! LOL
Might not be much more power but you will be much happier with the end result. Will look, feel and sound much better. I am getting this exact job done on mine next week once my fuel tank is repaired.

I have been waiting for three days for Thornton to get back to me as to what the shipping cost is and whether they will even ship to Canada (NB - Thornton called today and package should be out tomorrow!)
