redoing the interior of my 1971 Cutlass fastback. the a-pillar trim was off when i got the car, does the dash pad have to come off to install these? and at the bottom of the back window, is there a trim piece that screws on there, over the package tray?

No, you don't have to remove the dash pad to install the A-pillar trim pieces.

Then yes, there is a plastic trim piece at each lower inside corner of the back windshield. Its common for these to be brittle and break when being removed. I'm pretty sure they're reproduced, you might check with Fusick.com
