67 Stelth Tach/Clock Delete

So my clock was the only thing not working in my 67 Cutlass,
and I wanted a tach..BUT the car has to remain stock looking.
Preso..clock delete/stelth tach
All I need now is the chrome "botton" that goes in the middle.
Anyone have an extra speedo needle they want to sell ?

Now that is slick! I have been looking at finding a rally tic toc tach setup from a '67, but could never afford it. This would absolutely solve the "missing tach" dilemma. I was going to wedge an original tach pod next to my vacuum pod, but I like the clock delete option better. I would be interested in hearing all the details of how you did it if you have the time to share. Thanks! Jim

Jim,
I found a clock delete off e-bay $15 shipped.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT
Got a smoked face 2" tach for $17 shipped
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT
Simply painted the tach bezel ring flat black.
Cut a 2" hole in the clock delete and glued it in.
$32 stelth tach.

If you cant find a clock delete you can either cut up your old clock housing or fab up a bracket to hold the tach in from the back.
Tach will slide in from the front.

If you send me an e-mail,
I'll send you a video of how it looks turning on and off.

That is AWSOME! I've thought about doing something similar to my 71 98. Very nice work!
