5yr / 50,000 mi warranty.....and a new GM car has what, 3/36 ??

I guess all those claims about modern cars being so much better are.....

I couldn't see what engine it had - guessing the I-6 - but did you see how cheap it was going for? Wow.

That's a neat advertising poster! And I've learned something yet again today! For some reason, I thought the new cars back then came with a one year, 12,000 mile warranty. Now I know better. Thanks for posting this ad!

warranty

Just looking thru my 1970 owners manual and warranty docs states: 12 months 12000 miles, 5 year 50000 mile powertrain only

base price of a '68 F-85 "Club Coupe" (3177 - L6) was - $2515.00 + destination

..... so they're advertising a "stripped" one at ~ $300 under MSRP to get people in the door.

That's what car dealers do.

Either that or sell you a loaded one because it's on the lot already, and it'll take a REALLY long time to get the options you want .
