My God BigJerr!!!! You all are getting pounded! Doesn't look like that car is going out of the garage any time soon. Thank God you made it home safely. You be careful out there. Especially if you're clearing that snow!

Great pics Jerr - keep it safe out there.
The snow pictures are beautiful, but can be deadly as well.
Keep warm!!!
We are in the low teens here in TX, with ice and some snow on the ground.
Schools have been closed two days now - kinda rare.
It ~might~ break the freezing mark by Friday.
It has been 15 years since the last super cold spell here. I remember 6* then.
I need to try to get to work tomorrow, so i will chisel the car out and see if I can get the door open.
Just to think were were cruising withthe top down 4 days ago!

How'd you get pics of my backyard??
4ft drift on the deck - had to throw the dogs OVER it!!
21 yr old son here, but ony 1 shovel!!
Hoping for a neighbors help with a snowblower, once it stops!
20+ inches so far, more to come, with temps going to -10 tonight!
Got a 4x4 S-10 Blazer for the 4ft the plow left in front of the drive!!
At least it's not 'heart attack' snow - light and fluffy!

When my ladyfriend was moving last year, she gave me a nice new lightweight aluminum snow shovel. Not sure what I would ever do with it or what SHE ever did with it.
It can be yours for only 199.99 + shipping and handling!
Call now - quantities are limited...

We got slammed too, perhaps not as badly, only 14 inches and the drifts weren't as bad. I shoveled yesterday twice during the storm, it drifted back some but it was easier today to dig out. A funny note, but not while I was experiencing it; I was finishing the end of the driveway where all the snow was piled up higher from the snowplow running down the street when they made a final pass and efficiently negated 20 minutes of my work in about five seconds. I was so frustrated I threw the shovel into the yard, took a break, and came out finished it later.

Wow, Jerr.... Amazing pics.
When that white stuff starts hiding cars, I'd be moving.
I just chiseled out my two cars from under 1/2" of ice and thought dry snow would have been a lot easier.
Now the doors of the Caddy are froze shut. Luckily the Ford's aren't so it looks like I know which one i will be driving tomorrow morning. I found that its stick shift works better on ice but I will miss those heated seats! We just broke 25 here so the end of the freeze is near!!

you guys have all the luck we can walk on our snow hard as a rock three inches of solid ice right on top of it. had to get a sledge out to break threw to get couple of doors open from out side so much ice at the bottom was no fun. i can let the dogs out now they are not to happy yet. funny watching a 5 month old boxer pup run and slide all over the yard.

Got about 16" here, with some blowing. The drive home (2nd shift) was a pisser last night, took today off, blew out the drive and shoveled the roof. I cancelled a trip to Wisconsin (funeral) Tuesday, that would have been an all day trip, which would have taken me through Chicago at about 7pm Tues. night. Glad I changed that.

Those pictures remind me of the snow we use to get when I was a kid in Montreal. I loved it back then. We'd clean the snow off the street in front of the house and play road hockey. Never once had to yell "CAR"...."GAME ON!"

I seen some thing like that back in 01. We were building an addition to the hospital in Hinton Alberta. It was above freezing in February, no snow. Guys were driving there Harley's around. So then one day it decided to snow, well that is the most snow I ever seen at once. They got a storm that came off the Rocky Mountains. Started snowing that late morning, by mid afternoon their was 16 inches of the stuff.

Cool pics, Jerr !
Although.....I'd rather have 24" of snow than the 3-6" of ice we got here in Indy....
We didn't even leave the house from Tues afternoon until Thurs midday.
Views of the hood.....taken yesterday....after a couple of sunny 20F days....just enough to resurface the top into a perfect ice-rink. The ice is 2-6" thick ...everywhere. At least a frozen lake is flat...not like the yards. I stepped off the walk and slowly slid out to the 3 evergreens in the 1st pic. You can't even walk on this stuff without spikes/cleats. Roads, yards, walks, etc...are all the same. The snow you see is just a little fine powder that blew around...
(click for big...)
...and right now....
So....now its a few inches of hardened polished ice with a few inches of fresh powder on it...Wheee !
