Das Boot

Got Das Boot out today and serviced her for the new season. To be on the safe side installed a new impeller. After she gets cleaned up. She'll be tied up at the dock til fall.

Lil Sinker...

Nice! When is boarding time? I'm ready! Looks like I really need to get out that way soon.
Is the bear going??

I rented a small jet boat last week on my favorite lake, however it earned the colorful nickname "Lil Sinker" for a reason...
The impeller pumped water INSIDE the boat.

The bilge pump switch was busted, but I finagled it enough to get it to pump out so i could get on plane again. I did get several gallons of free gas for that ride at least! The harborside marina was nice though, and big grease burgers were good. However the $9 margies were a bit much...

Rob,

That last pic looks like you stayed too late.

Mine has a small bilge pump that mostly pumps out rain water when its tied to the dock in bad weather. We have a solar battery charger hooked up with the battery. The sytem is switchable to different possissions so the bilge pump won't run down the battery [if the solar pannel fails]

A 17 foot Whaler with a 90 hp Honda will get ya there in a hurry.

Come on over my Margaritas are free and I'll throw in some home made enchiladas, refried beans, and spanish rice.

Haven't seen ole Yogi [the bear] in a few months.

RIGHT FULL RUDDER

RIGHT FULL RUDDER

HE'S GOT US IN HIS SIGHTS

Toss some brewskies over board to take his mind off torpedoing us.[They're in the cooler that has a padded seat and back right in front of the center consol] It needs new cushions but will last another season as it is.

Yep, I got home at midnight that night - it was a cold ride home on the bike, too!

Next week I will be on the NE coast on a much needed vacation.
We may be taking this ride, in between two other cruises we are doing with BHC that day in Boston:

That 2800 HP seems quite appealing to me!
I will get the fishbowl margie right before to make my head spin a little more...
