Main hood latch doesn't hold
Had this with my Chevy years ago, thing would hit a bump and jump to the safety catch and scare the shinola out of me. Pull over, slam it, go.
I took the Chevy style latch and pin loose and penetrating oiled them, then oiled, then greased the contact points. Never a problem again.
So I notice the H/O, whose w-25 hood does a fine job of staying shut on the hood pins on the sides, would pop up after I unpinned those side pins some this past trip. Had no grease, a little motor oil on the pairing parts helped.
Should this get the same treatment? Penetrating oil on the pins and grease on the sliding parts? CSM says "apply lubriplate, holes are elongated for adjustment" on it.
