1969 442 conv rear frame not level

Bottom line: Rear of frame not level with the rear axle. Right side is about 1/2 inch lower.
Situation: Body is off the frame. Wheels are attached with factory suspension. I replace all bushing with new Moog rubber. All bushing are installed all the way against the suspension arms in the correct direction (right to left). Bushings on axle pushed half way as were the original. I have new springs that lower the rear about 1". They are placed correctly with the required insulator. Shocks are not installed and there is no other weight on the frame. I have pushed down on the frame to make sure the suspension is moving. I have not tighten down the bolts. What else could be causing the frame to be off? When I measure from the shock posts on the axle to the spring pocket, that is where the distance is 1/2" less on right side. I am considering a spacer for the spring? Any thoughts are appreciated!

Believe you need weight on the frame before tightening suspension components, if there binding in one of control arms, could be causing the height difference.

I considered that. The bolts are loose so it doesn't bind.

I'd wait until you get it all together an things settle in. A 1/2" is not all that much.

Don't measure between the axle and the frame. Measure the ride height using the factory process and dimensions as noted in the Chassis Service Manual.
