WTB 1970 442 or W31
As the title states, looking for a 1970 442 or W31 - want something solid with matching numbers motor. Has to be an automatic - have about 25 to 30K to play with. I would be open to a Rallye 350 or 71 442. Looking for something with bucket seats and an automatic on the floor. Thanks again for all the help thus far

Hi John, while I was browsing I came across this 1970 442. The ad doesn't give much detail but it might be worth a call to inquire. I also ran a search of the vin they provided and found an active craigslist posting.

Thanks for the link - I have seen the car a few times. Overall, not a bad car but they screwed it up with the trunk lid stripes, which would be a pain to have repainted to match. I would also need to get side mirrors, and a OAI hood painted to match - so you are looking at 6 to 7K on top of the price. Nice car though

Don't know if you are still looking but did you see this 70 442 auction - stating best offer? It does not state in the ad whether it has matching numbers.

Thanks for the heads up. I saw this last night and have been exchanging emails with the owner. The motor isn't original, front floors are soft, and there is filler in both quarters

still in the market if anyone knows of one for sale. I really like the pace car on ebay right not but according to other posts on the forum the guy is a scammer. Does anyone live in that area to check out the car... I don't believe the BS story in the post but the car looks nice enough..

The guy with the Pace Car claims to be the president of the local oldsmobile club and wants 85K for the car. Funny in sold for 25K back in August with 56K miles versus the 45K he is advertising. Such scammers out there

True, the scammers are out there. I’m sure a car that will work for you will appear before you know it. Continued good luck in finding it.
