Just curious, if is it a project and not a numbers match car does it really matter what the color code is? You can make it anyway you want if you are restoring it.
Just a thought.
I have a numbers match (born with engine and trans) 70 442 project, needs fully restored. bucket seat, console, auto, AC, PDB, PS, but not the correct paint code. yet it needs paint and interior. It is a Gold black vinyl top with gold interior.
I know that is not what you are asking for, but it just hit me if you are redoing the paint and interior as part of a restoration then you can do what ever you want in the process. If it is not numbers match the value won't be there anyway for some. but if it is numbers match and it is just color changed then ;it will retain more value.

In all honesty I probably won't buy anything that doesn't have the orig motor or trans and isn't code 28 with blue interior. If i'm going through the trouble(Money) of restoring a car it needs to be what it is not made up.

Now your talking.
Your first post was very specific and not in the same phrase.
This is the right thinking. If you want it one way and are going to spend the money to restore it. Then get what you want.

May be less money to buy this one than to find one and restore it
