Super Rare 1 of 51 Made 64 Jetstar Convert with ORIGINAL 4 Speed
I had good intentions for this car but have decided I need to sell it to someone who will give it the correct restoration this rare car deserves. It is a documented original 4 speed Jetstar that spent its entire life in California and AZ, I have the original 1963 black plates and a copy of the pink slip. It is very solid, straight ( 1 dent), and about 98% complete. A lot of work has already been done including an engine and tranny rebuild and the entire suspension and brake systems are done. The floors and frame are excellent and the body is nearly rust and bondo free. Included in the sale are three front fenders in perfect condition, two doors complete with glass (convertible) and door panels, a tilt column and an extra steering wheel. The front bumper has been rechromed and the back one has a dent but is not rusted like most 64's out there. There is a thread about this car in the eighty eighty section with lots of info and pics. Call me or send a PM if you are interested. I live in AZ and it has a free AZ title. I have never seen one of these for sale so not much to go on as far as a value goes so I'm starting at $7K. This is truely a once in a lifetime oppertunity, if you want one of the rarest Oldsmobiles at any show this is it. It would look just like this when restored to original, Jade Green Mist with green interior are the original colors with a white top.

OK so I guess the $7K was a little optimistic, I had to start someplace. I have the car listed on Ebay with a starting bid of $3500 and no bids yet. There have been over a 1000 views and there are over 65 watchers. Usually that is a pretty good indication people are interested. Are these cars worth nothing? I always thought a rare car especially a convertible that is soild and driveable had to be worth $3-$4 no matter what it is, more rare more valuable. What do you guys think this car is worth? What is it worth with nice but not perfect restoration? Thanks

If you weren't on the other side of the country, I would certainly be interested! Not that that makes you feel any better! I think if you are patient, you will get some action. The 7k price is a little optimistic IMO, but probably to an Olds guy, close....

I have received a deposit so I think its sold. The guy is an Oldsmobile collector and plans to do a frame off. I'm glad its going to a good home and will get the restoration it deserves. Thanks for the help here.
