'71 Cutlass Supreme 350-4v parts or whole car?
I have a mostly complete '71 Cutlass Supreme that was part of a package deal when I bought my convertible project. It is a Texas built car and has spent it's whole life in Texas so you won't find the rust and rot like you do on the northern cars. It was meant to be the parts car for the convertible, but I decided at the time that I would keep it for a future project. I'm now thinking of selling the whole car or parting it out; I need funds to finish my convertible project.
It could be a good starting point for a restoration, but it's nothing special, just a plain jane Cutlass Supreme. I think the color combo is unique (#49 Antique Jade with white interior) most of the green cars I've seen had green interiors. It's sporting the original paint and there is minimal body rust; the rear quarters have 1" holes behind the wheels, but the trunk floor is solid, the passenger floorpan will need a patch because the windshield was removed and allowed water to collect on this side, drivers side is solid, RH door is solid, so is LH door but has a small dent, LH fender is good (no rust thru at the bottom, and the trunk lid is good. The drive train looks to be original to the car; the number on the 350-4V matches the VIN (I haven't checked the 350 trans) and it has the original radiator with the 2 letter tag. The hood and RH fender are damaged from a fender bender.
Is anyone interested in the whole car for say $2,500?
It's worth more parted out, but that takes time away from finishing the convertible. There are lots of good parts that are typically missing after 40+ years. Besides the good frame and body panels (quarters, doors, fenders, deck lid) there are lots of smaller parts such as; vapor canister, ported vacuum switch, seat cores, halo top trim, side body molding (70 & 71 only), OLDSMOBILE trunk letters, engine brackets & pulleys, windshield trim, rear window trim, etc. Here's a pic:
I've attached some more pics below.
