Wow. Outstanding car.

You even have the tan floor mats. I'd probably sign over a kidney for a set of those for my V Code Supreme, which is going back to the same color combination as your car.

I'm going to go look at the pics again now.... : )

I agree - BEAUTIFUL car! But I cannot pass up the opportunity to comment on the amusing incongruity between this picture and the description "never seen snow"!

Good luck w/ the sale!

Thank you all for the compliments! This really is an amazingly clean and rust-free car. I actually planned on keeping in, then I bought the car in my signature, that I had been trying to buy for the last six years. Bob

Beautiful car. I like the Wilwood brake upgrade. May I ask if you used stock spindles or after market? Also did you notice a big improvement in stopping distance? Thanks

eds, I'll have to clarify that, "never driven in snow". If you notice some white spots in the pictures, those are snow flurries!

Texas442, The Wilwood Brakes use the stock spindles. Since it has been snowing all winter, I haven't been able to test drive the car. There is no miles on all the work that has been done, just idling time.

"1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Convertible - Garage Find

Matching Numbers Rocket 350 4bbl Engine, Turbo 350 Automatic Transmission w/ Hurst Dual Gate Console Shifter and 3.73 Rear Differential.

Rust-Free, w/ Original Paint - Saddle Bronze Exterior w/ Dark Saddle Bucket Seat Interior.

This car was purchased new in Alabama in 1972 and remained there until 1984 when it went to North Carolina. It was driven until 1996 and then stored covered inside a dry N.C. garage for 18 years, until 2014. It has 108k original, documented miles and includes previous registrations, protect-o-plate and owners manual. The car has always been garaged and has never seen snow or salt. It has never been crashed or re-painted. The power convertible top with the glass rear window was replaced in 1995, just prior to the car being stored and is still in like-new condition, with the saddle bronze parade boot.

In 2014, the entire drive-train was pulled from the car. The fuel tank and sending unit were replaced. The engine was cleaned, resealed and repainted. The water pump, fuel pump, thermostat, all hoses, belts and rubber fuel lines were replaced. The original Rochester Quadrajet carburetor and Delco-Remy starter were rebuilt. A Harrison 4-core radiator and new clutch fan were installed. A new upgraded HEI distributor, 800CA battery, 63 Amp alternator and regulator were added. The motor mounts and transmission mount were replaced. The transmission was completely drained and resealed. The rear differential gears were upgraded and the axle bearings, seals and brakes were replaced. The air conditioning compressor was replaced and the system was converted from R12 to 134a.

The entire suspension system was upgraded, including: (4) Moog coil springs, (4) Moog ball joints, (4) Monroe gas shocks, PST Polygraphite control arm bushings, OEM idler arm, drag link, tire rods, u-joints and a factory rear sway bar were added. The power brake booster and master cylinder were replaced along with U.S.A. made Wilwood (4) piston caliper front disc brakes. 2 ½" aluminized dual exhaust system with an x-pipe, Flowmaster mufflers and a new chrome 442 rear bumper with chrome exhaust trumpets were installed. The car has old school Crager SS chrome wheels with BF Goodrich White Lettered Radial T/A tires, size P275/60R15 rear and P225/70R15 front.

This Cutlass convertible runs awesome with no noises, no smoke and no oil leaks. The paint is very presentable and has a nice sheen. The frame, undercarriage, floors and inside of the trunk are all immaculate. All of the glass, trim and interior are in excellent condition, with the exception of the driver's seat. The buyer will not be disappointed with the overall condition of this 43 year old classic drop top muscle car, asking price $19,995."

Really is a beautiful car. I'm kinda curious, tho, with all the work you've done on it, why you didn't cover the driver's seat? Very minor, of course, but a cosmetic detail that might matter to a potential buyer.

Man, if you are in Boston, it might be AUGUST before all the snow is gone! My sympathies!

eds, I planned on driving the car this summer, then reupholstering both buckets next winter. Then I bought the car in my signature and I'm just out of money. I paid a lot of $$ for this convertible, then put a lot of $$ into it. It is a turn key drive anywhere car.

I'm pretty sure that this car was a 350 when I saw it on the web at least 10 years ago, but it has to be a pretty close twin of your new acquisition....

Excellent! Knew it wouldn't last long. Shows what happens when a strong car is presented honestly and priced fairly!
