Brake Booster Removal
Any suggestions on how to loosen the inside bolts holding the booster to the firewall on a 69 442 with the engine still in the car? Not sure if removing the wiper motor will help. Thanks

If I understand your request:
I think my '68 is the same in this area under the hood. It was a PITA, but I managed to get the nuts off of the bolts at the base of the booster's mounting flange by using an open end wrench. The bolts come through the FW from under the dash, and are affixed in place, the bolts do not come out - at least not on the '68...

Remove the wiper motor for sure. Its a whole lot less problem. I replaced my booster on my 72 last week. I replaced it in about 30 min max. Don't disconnect the master cylinder unless you are planning on changing it also.

I was able to remove the nuts holding the booster on without removing the wiper motor or anything else. I used a combination wrench and was able to turn the hard to access nut about a 1/8 turn at a time but I was able to get it off.

I replaced the booster on my 70 without removing anything else. I did need an extra pair of hands due to a spinning bolt though. So it might be a good idea to have someone on hand just in case that happens to you.
