Push Rod Length Too Short?
Car - 72 442 vert with power drum brakes (I have no proof the car orginally came with power brakes, but it had them when I bought it and I have done a 4 spd changeover)
Just got the booster back and went to install. The push rod length seems too short (the one that goes to the pedal) After I attach it to the pedal with the pin, the brake pedal does not sit even with the clutch pedal, nor does it reach the brake light switch to turn the brake lights off -even if I have the yoke screwed all the way out.
I have verified I have the correct "A0" pushrod, and have tried to find addtional info on the internet. The Chevelle guys say there's a special part that attaches to the upper hole on the pedal on power brake cars that actually contacts the brake switch, but it still seems to me the clutch and brake pedals should be even with each other when both are released. Does anyone have any pictures of a power brake MT car showing how the pedals should be in relation to each other, and what actually contacts the brake switch?
Thnaks in advance.

Yes I did, but last night I figured out I mounted the brake light switch to the wrong holes. There are two mounting positions for the bracket that holds the switch and after moving it to the right ones, problem fixed on the brake light switch.
I'm still not comfortable that the brake and clutch pedals aren't at the same height, but maybe there not supposed to be. Can any manual transmission owner let me if this is normal? A pic of their pedals would be great.

does the clutch pedal still have the rubber bumper? I have seen many where the bumper was gone or squished down to nothing. fwiw the pedals are not always perfectly together but are usually close.

Yes - when I push on the pedal, when it gets to about even with the brake pedal is when the clutch feels like it'e being engaged.
