Installing front disc on '59 - '60 Olds ??

I was thinking of doing a front drum to disc conversion and wondered if anybody has done it to a '59 - '60 Olds..Some guy on Ebay ( from time to time ) sells some type of bracket to accept the calipers. Has anybody bought them? What else is involved? I am assuming you need a proportioning valve, dual master cylinder, and some type of fabrication of the brake pedal to the master cylinder. These 4 wheel drum brakes work EXCELLENT, but I guess it just takes one time for you to loose all 4 brakes on the original system.. Thanks

You could convert to a dual master cylinder set up as an alternative. This is a common subject on a website I visit that is all pre-'64 cars and lots of 20's, 30's, 40's and 50's hot rods. The general consensus it convert to dual. You might visit them and do a search. Go on over to Jalopyjournal.com and click on the HAMB.
