7in, 91n, 11in Brake Booster is there a difference??
Im pretty sure I need a brake booster for my 64 Cutlass. When I step on the brakes I hear alot of air by the brake pedal and it is very hard to stop the car (feel like I have manual brakes). I have drums all the way around. I was searching for another brake booster and I see they come in different sizes. 7in, 9in, and 11in. Is there a difference?? I seen one on E-Bay that was pretty interesting.

It has 2 resivoirs. Mine has one. If I were to purchase this item, would it be plug and play?? What else would I need to purchase?? Do I need another proportioning valve?? If I were to change to disc in the front on a later date, could I still use this booster and M/C combo?? Please let me know what roadblocks I would encounter.

For ease of installation, i would go with the same size that is in there.
The smaller diameter ones could be dual diaphragm and are often much thicker, requiring new or reformed brake lines.
Have you considered having yours rebuilt and replated?

Changing the booster and changing to a dual master are two different things.
It would make the most sense to just replace the booster with the same kind, but you may be able to get a replacement diaphragm and fix it, too. As for the plating... well, how fancy do you want to get?
You should plan on changing to a dual master sooner or later, since it's just safer. It requires some additional plumbing, but it's not hard to do, and I believe you can also buy it all in a complete kit from some of the suppliers if you'd like.
