New OPGI Window Sweeps. WTF??
So here i sit once again let down. I got new set of felts from OPGI and went to install them and guess what... the pre drilled holes are way the hell off on the rear and just a wee bit off on the front is this normal seeing as i bought this car w/o the felts on it im kinda confused on the correct position of these so heres my question(s). Should i box them back up drive 45 minutes to elburn and ram them up someones tail pipe orrrr modify them? next Is there anyone near Mt. Greenwood (chicago) il. that would let me stop by and gander at the positioning of their felts so i can go home and do mine the right way? a picture of how the front and rear outer ends would also suffice so i can see where to properly line these up?

Have you tried every way?
Side to side?
I put them on a 67 Impala SS, and a few holes lined up, until I switched sides.
I coated the inside with wheel bearing grease, [lightly] to prevent future rust.

I bought mine from Terri Caldwell at Steele Products.I had a problem and I can tell you this .They are approachable.I had one of the rear felts take off and Terri sent me a whole set .I only needed the one outside felt.In my opinion they are the best and Terri had great customer service skills.Great experience.

Well heres the thing the felts are specific for inner and outter and right and left side its kinda hard to do this wrong... As far as coating parts with petroleum products keep in mind that it will soften the rubber.. kinda like the reason you shouldnt use anything but sylicon based grease on caliper slides, the rubber will start to break down and become mushy like a wet bar of soap also it'll become a place where dirt and grime can get trapped not to many people remove their felts when washing their cars so ill probably stick to some kind of weather adhesive or similar... As far as what i can do i still am not sure i will be calling OPGI on monday to see if they want to keep me as a customer? thanks for the help though Happy New yrs everybody

OPGI sucks and customer service is equal. The 1st thing they will say is they never had a problem with any of their stuff before and perhaps your car has been modified from stock and that is why they dont fit. And then if you say its stock, and original, they will ask, are you the original owner of the car? And if you say no then they will say you cant be sure it was not modified and that why the parts dont fit!! Trust me on this!

thanks for the heads up ill be sure to say im the original owner and maybe send them a picture of me crouched in the attack position like Chuck Norris does instead of paying taxes. So i guess ill be drilling holes. goodtimes?
