Need full Quarter 72 cutlass S

Does anyone reproduce a full quarter? Car had a vinyl top and around the back glass on the drivers side is shot. Also has some previous crash damage at the wheel well so I figured it would be easier to replace the complete quarter from sail panel down but can't find one. Any recommendations? Thanks John

Which side do you need? Tamraz has both sides for sale on eBay.

That would help for the lower damage but my main problem is around the drivers side rear window, (sail area) it's rusted pretty bad. Full quarters for my 66 Chevelle had the complete sail which took care of the same problem, but I can't seem to find a full quarter with sail panel for the Cutlass.

I've still got this one, rust isn't an issue but there's other damage that would need repaired. It may not go up the sail panel as far as you need though. John

Nice! I wish I'd known this was here before I finished my quarter panels. I just needed around the lip above the wheels.....right below the area where the cut is on your's.

Yeah.....I don't think they make reproductions of those. You may have to find a donor car.

You would think someone would make one, but I guess not, thanks.

Thanks John but I do need further up. The rot starts just under the leaded area where the sail/roof meet. I guess its back out to the shop to start the fabrication process. I saw your listing in the parts section and I'm getting a list together for you, things like grills/stone shields etc thanks again guys. John

I was looking for the post that joins the roof to the quarters and all I can find is a reproduction roof and the quarters. The roof stops where the leaded area is and you can see where the quarters end.

Here's a roof panel....

I guess if you have a rotten sail area your up the creek without a paddle. Mine dont seem to be too bad but I'm afraid to take it to the metal. I know the car had a vinyl roof and for the most part it's solid. I'm only worried about the drivers side. Pass side is good. Oh well better take to down to the metal to see what I have. Thanks for your help

No problem at all. There are probably guys on here who could be a better help to you than I am. I'm still fairly new to buying Olds parts because I just started restoring mine as of last summer.

I'm glad mine isn't soft in the sail panel area because cars like mine don't exist around my area. There are no junkyards in my area that would still have body panels available for cars like mine because they crushed them a long time ago.

Tooling to stamp full quarter panels is complex and very expensive. To date the market for 70-72 hardtop full quarters has not been seen as large enough to recoup that investment. The Chinesium partial quarters is all that you will find. Your options are to learn how to fabricate patch panels from scratch or to find good used desert sheetmetal. The latter will not be cheap.
