70-72 Cutlass outer wheel wells
Hi all,
Got really stupid and ordered the wrong outer wheel wells for my '70 convertible, bought the hardtop version. The 'restock fee' is $125, plus return shipping, so it hardly seems worth returning them. Has anyone got any experience in modifying the hardtop wells to fit a convertible? They look close, but I can't really tell where the differences are. If it's an easy mod, I'd rather do the work than spend another $250, but if its a mess, I may need to just suck it up and buy new ones and try to re-sell the bad parts. Any input appreciated, thanks

I think the difference is that the top of the rear inner fenders are flattened a bit to allow the top mechanism to lower. I've seen a set modified & I think any good body man could make them work.
