OAI hood adjustment bumpers

OAI hood adjustment bumpers
I need to replace the hood adjustment bumpers on my 70 442 (new to me, April build). I see that most on-line sites offer a 3 bumper set for OAI hoods. My factory installed W25 hood only has the two front bumpers. At the back of the hood is an elongated rubber bumper attached with a screw and 3 washers used as spacers. This set up does not look to be factory. Does anyone else have a similar set up?

66SportsCoupe is correct. Here is a pic that shows the one in the centre at the front - right in front of the hood lock. The rear seal that goes across the hood also acts as a a bumper and will amazingly lift the rear of the hood. I went crazy trying to get the back of my hood to sit up high enough so that it sat flush with the fenders but "hey presto" perfect alignment with a nice new seal. I'm guessing that the previous owner of your car has put those washer under the rear centre bumper hoping it might help to lift the hood but they aren't original

The assembly manual shows three hood bumpers on the radiator support, however, that is not entirely accurate. Early built cars had only two hood bumpers on the radiator support. This is for Lansing built cars. I see you indicate your car is a “W-25” car. Where was it built?

My car was built at the Linden plant in April. I took some photos today. It does not appear that the car ever had the center hood bumper by looking at the underside of the hood. However, the underside of the hood looks like it has been rattle canned (poorly) at some point. Since they painted over the dirt and rust, I'd still expect to see some evidence of the bumper making contact with the hood. It also came with the interior hood lock, but I doubt that would make a difference with installing the center bumper.
