Arny, strictly on the cfm rating, that should be sufficient. Are you using a stock manifold? I think that carb is square bore so it should fit. I don't know if you will have trouble with the linkage or not. What kind of transmission is in your car? If it isn't a TH400 you might have to work to find linkage for the transmission kickdown function. I don't know. Maybe someone else could help you on that. Olds64 used a similar Edelbrock on his 394 in his '64 98 and the engine liked the carb but we had trouble with the linkage as I mentioned above.

Is there a problem with the one you have? Normally, a quality rebuild is as good as, if not better than, an "off the shelf" aftermarket carb.

750 CFM is than adequate for most "street" applications.

If your intake is a "square bore" manifold, and the linkage clears, it should work as well as the original carb.

Well I said it that way to keep it simple. The car currently has a 2bbl on there. In 96' My dad had the 4bbl taken off (and the manifold) and had a 2bbl put on. (NOT SURE WHY!?) So now I ave the original 4bbl manifold and no 4bbl carb to go on it. And that's the "whole" story. Thanks

Ok then, that makes perfect sense. For what it is worth, I would recommend getting a quadrajet, it would be a perfect replacement. Danny Sarvis can sell you a rebuilt one for your car and the price would be the same or cheaper than a new Edelbrock. Just an idea.

And how can I get a hold of said "Danny Sarvis"?

If you search for his name in the ClassicOlds search engine you should find another post with his contact information. He is a quadrajet guru and his work is top notch. Also search for other "carburetor" or "quadrajet" posts.

Here's a pic of my 67 Delta with the Edelbrock carb and intake. I finally figured out how to post the images.
