The block is STD bore, no crank. that is about the going rate. The trans, if it works, but has not been worked on for awhile, and will need to be checked, I think it is a little high. If it came out off a full size car and has a long tail shaft, it is way to much money. Not many guys want a long tail shaft, all looking for the short ones.

The motor was in my 72 VC. I have owned the car abouit 4 years, it was running great. The only reason I took it out was to put in a 455. I do not know if it has been worked on or not? I took the valve covers off, and looked like some new rockers have been replaced. The car has about 38000, so I think 138000, and as good as it was running, I think I may have been worked on? It did not smoke or run bad. If a person need a engine, and did not have money to spend on a rebuild, I would have no problem putting it in as is. I would change the pan gasket, and front timming cover seal brfoe installing. I'm asking $325.

these are a few of my plans

rebuild them motor i have right now (if its still useable)

upgrade to a 455 (but a lot more is into it then just dropping the motor in unfortuantely)

or finding a 350 already mildy built up

I think that block for $150 would be a good deal. Is it an entire engine or is it just a short block? I don't think you have to worry about damage to an engine that would prevent it from being non rebuildable. I just bought a 455 and TH 400 and was thinking about that; however, the chances that a street driven engine would throw a rod through the block or drop a valve into a piston are slim. Also, even if there is catastrophic damage to an engine pretty much anything can be repaired by a competent machinist these days. It is just a question of how much it would cost.
