Edelbrock 1813 carb? I don't know alot about ebrocks. This any good?

Does anyone have any experience with the Edelbrock 1813 carb? I ran across one I can get reasonable, guy had it on a small block and says it was too much carb for his setup. It has about 100 miles of use. My motor is pretty much stock rebuilt 70 455, c heads, torker intake and erson tq40 cam. I don't know much about Edelbrock carbs, I've always just run quadrajets on my cars

I had an Edelbrock carb on one of my cars in the past and it was quite streetable right out of the box. It wasn't the Thunder AVS though. I think you will be fine running this on your 455. Just make sure you set your carburetor properly with a vacuum gauge and tach.

They aren't a bad carb, you may have issues with air cleaner clearance and the electric choke. The AVS is better carb than the performer series. Its an 800 cfm carb.

Or, one could simply type edelbrock 1813 into Google and get the CFM and other carb specs much more quickly than posting here...

That wasn't a slam at you, as you did correctly call the 800 CFM. My point was that anyone could have googled the info quickly, along with all the specs on the carb.
