intake gasket

intake gasket

anyone know where i can get a intake gasket that blocks off the exhaust crossover on the intake manifold?

if the port is not blocked off, it will just burn through the gasket. i know that Mondello has them but i would think you can get them other places. i think i have a set for a big block that i won't use if you can't find them.

so i need a shop to weld it closed ? then gasket?

i am far from an expert on this subject but i had a set of the gaskets like that on my Rallye 350. about 250 miles later i changed the intake and they were burned through.

'Back in the day', we used to cut sheet metal bigger than the hole, and let the gasket hold it in.
Don't remember any 'burn-throughs'!

If you can find out the crush thickness then use a piece of sheet metal no thicker than that you could then cut a hole in the gasket slightly bigger than the crossover hole for the sheet metal. Use the old turkey tray as a template.
