394 Offenhauser Tri-Power Intake Repair

I received the Tri-Power manifold with the three 2-Jet carbs. for my 394 this weekend. I have noticed this is the Offenhauser 5019 unit but at some time in the past someone cut off the water transfer/outlet pipe that was integrated. I have no idea why someone did this. Would it be possible to fabricate a transfer pipe with an outlet? My guess it would be cheaper to just get another manifold. The thing is, this manifold has some historical value to this fiberglass car as it was built in 1961. Any help or advice would be great. Thanks.

Use a drill and tap new pipe threads into it? Then you can add a regular hose fitting to it.
