394 Head swapping.. Old Timers HELP

Quick question to all the old timers.. Do all 394 heads interchange? I know they will physically bolt up, but the problem I'm having is this.. I was thinking of buying a set of '62 394 heads to bolt on to a '59 394 block. I thought I read somewhere a long time ago that the oil holes where the oil drains back to the oil pan do not match up, depending what year 394's you are swapping. Has anybody ever swapped different 394 heads here? I know 59 - 60 are basically identical and '61 -'64 are basically identical. Thanks

T H A N K Y O U ... This is exactly what I was looking for. These 3 little sentences saved me a ton of headaches!

Just some further input.

When swapping heads to a different year, try to use the head gasket that goes with that year head. I know the gasket should also have a reasonable bore size for the block, but what I am thinking of here is that the '59-60 371/394 has a different approach to the passage from the oil hole in the block to the oil hole in the head than does '61-4. One of these carves a passage in the head, the other does it in the gasket. Be careful there.
